Dear Friends,

I hope this finds you well. We have been closely monitoring the ever changing development regarding the Coronavirus.

At this time per the guidelines set forth by the Bergen County Executive and the American Dental Association, WE WILL BEGIN TO SUSPEND ALL NON-ESSENTIAL OR NON-URGENT DENTAL CARE UNTIL APRIL 1, 2020 .

We will be available for emergency dental care as usual for all of our patients.

This decision may change at any time and we are monitoring and assessing it on a daily basis.

The office will be open Monday-Thursday for limited hours in the morning for clerical work. For any emergency treatment, please call us at our office at 201-265-2252. If we are not in the office, follow the instructions on our answering machine.

Thank you very much,

Dr. Froonjian

Hygine.jpgDr. Froonjian recomends that in most cases, pateints should have their teeth and gums examined and cleaned at least every 6 months to ensure proper oral health.  Over the past few years we are understanding the relationship between oral health and systemic disease.  With regularly scheduled visits, if a problem begins, we can detect it early enough to correct further problems.

If we feel that you are suffering from gingivitis or more severe gum disease, we may recommend a root scaling or planing.  These measures can be instrumental in preventing bone loss and helping you to keep your natural teeth.

"I am often asked if a child needs 6-month check ups.  The answer is yes, because of several factors.  First, children often do not brush well, and if the parent is not supervising his or her brushing, it is probably not being done properly. Also, if decay does begin, it is much easier to treat it conservatively with our laser than to let it grow into something more severe."
